Ugrepw Description

The Ugrepw appplication was designed to be a multi-format search utility. This tool is used to search for text in files. Currently, three formats are supported: ANSI text files, Unicode text files and RTF files. Despite the ambitious name, the tool does NOT support regular expressions. All options should be self-explanatory.NOTE:- The reason why regexp is not included is the problem with searching in both Unicode and ANSI buffers using the same regexp engine. One strategy (used in the spellchecker kastrul) is to convert the entire buffer to Unicode and skip the ANSI scanning function. Feels like an overkill at this stage. - The app could possible utilize the converters provided by Microsoft to have a peek inside Microsoft Word documents and other formats. However, the converters tend to crash if you use them many times in a row - meaning that we would have to unload the converter DLL's after every file (and this is not what we need).
