TxtView Description

The TxtView application was designed to be a small tool that will display texts in a manner much more convenient than that of the standard Windows Notepad. The features included here are especially useful in cases when texts to be read are too large in size, when there are too many of them, or when they use some rare encoding (Cyrillic, for example). To open a text choose File > Open... or use the explorer window (to show or hide the explorer window use View > File Explorer). To select whole text use Edit > Select All or the context menu. To search for some text, scroll the document to the place from which you wish the search to begin, and just type the text letter by letter (searching without regard to the case of letters is not supported yet). Use Edit > Find Next to search again. To copy selected text to the clipboard use Edit > Copy or the context menu. Use Edit > Reset search to start new search. With the View menu you can also view text in the binary form, either as decimal or hexadecimal numbers. The Encoding menu allows you to choose the text encoding. Tool > Options allows you to change name, size and color of the font used to display text. To change the color, click at the color samples, then you can select color using RBG or HSB models. Also you can select the size of the TAB space. Tool > Call NotePad just calls NOTEPAD.EXE specifying the path to the currently displaying text in its command line.
