Tittut Description

Tittut is a tool, or rather a set of tools that can be used for fast lookups of strings in tab-delimited textfiles (a.k.a. glossaries). Any user with some experience of using computers should understand how to work with this program. Creating the glossaries used are somwhat more complicated, but can be accomplished with a small effort. The glossaries are sorted, tab separated ANSI text files, where the first column holds the source term, and the second column holds the translation or target term. Other columns to the right of the target column can hold information such as status or dates, but for the application itself these columns have no specific meaning. A glossary set is a collection of glossaries. You create a set and add individual glossaries to the set. When you search for something in the set, each glossary is searched in the order defined by the set.
