The PanHandlerPlug-In for Adobe Premiere Description

This is a LCRS Matrix (Dolby Pro Logic sytle) Panner and Matrix Encoder Plug-in. It is NOT an AC3 or DTS encoder and does not do 5.1 surround panning. The PanHandler is a surround sound panner and encoder in a single plug-in. It can be used to pan and encode sound files in surround. These surround encoded files can then be placed into a normal stereo mix consisting of stereo music and dialog. Currently the PanHandler is available for Adobe Premiere (Win), Cubase VST, DirectX, SAW32, SAWPlus32, SAWPRO, and Cool Pro. Always use good shielded cables for all audio input and output connections. Also, bundle audio cables separately from the AC power cables. 1. Mix in an acoustically well designed room. 2. Make sure you have a diffused Surround/rear sound field. 3. Place Surround speakers up high. Do not tilt down toward mixing position. 4. Do not use bi-polar (Consumer THX ) type Surround/rear speakers. 5. Do not de-correlate/pitch-shift Surround channel. 6. A and SR (analog) type sound tracks for Cinema, including Lt/Rt masters for the video/TV broadcast industry is mono to all Surround/rear Speakers.
