Text Information Description

This plug-in will display information such as the number of characters in the selected text (entire document if nothing is selected). Dialog boxes displayed when running this plug-in contain the following options. (Some of these may be different depending on options set in Properties.): - Count half-width character, full-width character and returns (CR+LF, CR and LF) as one character. You can specify not to include returns depending on your settings. - This number is the sum of half-width characters (counted as 1), and full-width characters and CR+LF (counted as 2). This is the byte number of displayed characters so the actual byte number of the file may be different. - This is the number of line feeds (such as CR+LF) which are counted as returns. - The number of displayed lines that includes both line feeds and wrapped positions. - This is the number of half-width characters. Depending on the font, the number will be different. Tab characters and control characters are included. - This is the number of full-width characters. Depending on the font, the number will be different. - ,, Return. CR+LF is the standard Windows return. - Half-width spaces. - Full-width spaces (U+3000). The fonts which cannot display full-width spaces will also be counted. - Tab characters (U+0009). - Characters which are defined as U+0001 - U+0009, U+000B, U+000C, U+000E - U+001F, U+007F. - Characters which are defined as U+4E00 - U+9FA5. - Characters which are defined as U+3041 - U+3094. - Characters which are defined as U+30A1 - U+30FA. - The characters which are defined in U+FF61 - U+FF9F.
