TTSReader Description

TTSReader is a software application that provides users with a simple means reading aloud an uploaded document, a custom text body and items from your Clipboard. Hassle-free setup and easy-to-use environment The installation process is over in a jiffy and does not come bundled with any unpleasant surprises. After completing it, you come face to face with a pretty minimal interface, as it consist of a menu bar, several buttons, a pane in which to display text and a few slider bars. Moreover, Help contents are supported which means that you can easily find your way around it, regardless of the previous experience you have with computers. Watch the Clipboard and use playback controlsThis program enables you to upload RTF and TXT documents and read them out loud with just a click of the button. Aside from that, you can manually input a text body (and save it as a RTF or TXT) or set the app to watch the Clipboard and read all items that copied there. It is possible to start, pause and stop the reading process, as well as skip a sentence or paragraph, with the help of the built-in playback controls. Options you can tweakA long list of voices is provided and you can easily choose one with the help of a drop-down menu. In addition to that, you can also adjust the speed, pitch and volume od the voice with the help of the three incorporated slider bars. Last but not least, you can read out loud a text and save it to a custom location on the hard drive using a WAV or MP3 file extension, as well as adjust pronunciations and change the keyboard shortcuts. Bottom lineIn conclusion, TTSReader is a pretty efficient piece of software, dedicated to both beginners and highly experienced users although the interface is not very appealing. The response time is good, the resource requirements are minimal and there are sufficient options to keep you glued to your computer for quite a while.
