Stop Screen Saver Description

Stop Screen Saver is a compact and portable piece of software that disables the screensaver from popping up on the desktop. You can use this tool when you're making a presentation, for instance, since it keeps the screensaver from interrupting your activity. Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can just drop the EXE file to any spot on the hard disk and run it immediately. It is also possible to save Stop Screen Saver to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer with minimum effort. What's important to mention is that the Windows Registry does not get updates with new entries, and files do not remain on the hard disk after removing the app. Upon deployment Stop Screen Saver creates an icon in the system tray area. By default, the screensaver is disabled. But you may start it or specify a timer interval to disable it for. By bringing up the Options panel, you can determine a time interval for preventing the screensaver (whose value should be the same as the timeout), establish a hotkey to send to Windows, make the frame enable the sreensaver at startup, as well as select the single or double mouse click on the tray icon to toggle the disabling option. There are no other notable options available through this program. Stop Screen Saver barely uses CPU and system memory, hence it doesn't burden the computer's activity or interfere with the runtime of other applications. It has a good response time and works fine, even if it has not been updated for a very long time.
