Skull Player is a lightweight software application designed to help users listen to songs and view clips in a clean and intuitive working environment. The user interface is simple and provides several configuration settings to tinker with. The program gives you the possibility to upload files into the workspace using the built-in browse function or “drag and drop” operations. What’s more, you are allowed to play, pause, or stop the current audio or video selection, go backward or forward, seek a position in the streams, as well as adjust the volume. Skull Player offer support for all major audio and video formats, and lets you resize the main window to the desired viewing mode. Since it doesn’t bundle many dedicated parameters, even rookies can master the utility with minimum effort. However, more experienced users may find it pretty inconvenient to work with a tool that doesn’t comprise advanced features, such as a full screen mode, hotkeys, playlists, and an equalizer, just to name a few suggestion. During our testing we have noticed that Skull Player carries out a task quickly, provides good audio and video quality, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. It eats up memory, so the overall performance of the computer may be affected. To sum things up, Skull Player seems to be the right choice in case you are looking for a simple-to-use media player that bundles only a few options for helping you play your favorite videos and songs.
