Editor's review: Professional printing functions are available in this print application. Meant for producing image and text layouts as well as individual images at professional quality levels. Pros: Any printer can be used with this standalone printing program. Assuming images have been processed through professional scanning and other correction functions already, images can be printed directly from folders, individual layouts created or even print templates directly. There’s an embedded color management function that eases true-to-color printing so that contact proofs to international standards could be created easily. PrinTao image to paper becomes an easy process whether printing single images or contact sheet of individually selected images. Positioning of images could be automatic or manual with the help of grids and auxiliary lines and placing the images can be helped by the functions of scaling, mirroring and rotation at any angle as well as cropping functions. Repetitive steps in a layout job can be reduced through the use of templates’ either predefined or customized. There is a whole selection of predefined templates in the application. Free positioning of image with text that is customized- EXIF or IPTC data, copyright text etc are simple to do. Similarly it is quite easy to do multi page prints with layouts and designs being different on each page. Editing of large files is possible quickly enough so that one can take out faster print outs. Cons: This application is obviously for a professional print shop, details to be managed can be overwhelming for day to day simple image printing for SME units. Overall a level of 4 stars is well deserved by the application.
