As its name implies, this game is a sailing simulator that allows you to sit in the captain's chair and take the helm of a ship to carry out a series of missions. These can be commercial deliveries or tourist assignments. In the first case, you will need to pick up and deliver goods from one harbor to another, and in the second, you will be visiting different milestones to take pictures of them. The game has very good and realistic graphics and sounds. You can take different points of view, including a bird's eye view of the ship, and that of the helmsman. As a tourist, you will have the chance of taking pictures at any moment. These images will be stored on your computer. You will earn different rewards with each mission accomplished, thus making you improve your ranking. Among these rewards are postcards, accessories, and movies that can be viewed from the main menu. All in all, it is a great simulation game. The main disadvantage I found is that you need to have some knowledge on how to navigate and read the ship's navigation instruments and maps, or at least, you need to be willing to learn. The shareware version has only a limited amount of missions and features. To get rid of this limitation, you will need to purchase a license, which is affordable, given the high quality of the program. Please note that the download file size is massive and that it will take a while to download. Also, the program needs DirectX to work properly. If you don't have it, the installation wizard will ask you if you want to install it on your system when running the installation.
