SharePoint List Collection consolidates list items into a single grid view web part. This web part collects all kinds of SharePoint lists from different sites. This software provides a combined and consolidated view of these list items. For example, different task lists task list 1, task list 2 and through to task list n is consolidated into a table that has column headings from individual list items such as title, status, assign to, % completed and description. This view then lets you check at a glance the details of multiple lists (task lists in this case). You select a site, a list from the site and a list view for the items you want to see. For consolidation, select or input new column names for original columns. Repeat above steps for other lists. The collected items will be displayed in the SharePoint list collection web part. Sometimes you may need to reorganize the view, differently from the original list view. This list collection view can be created. You can create this list collection view to determine which list or list view will be filtered. This will also define which list columns will be displayed as also the columns to be sorted and grouped. The operation of the web part works the same way as the SharePoint list view part.
