Secure Notepad Description

Secure Notepad is more or less exact copy of MS Notepad. Why? It is because many users in the world have good experience with it. This clone suggests new file format for user's notes: etxt, this is usual text file but it is encrypted inside. Famous OpenSSL library is used for etxt (in particular, Blowfish algorithm). As you know the firmness of that algorithm depends on a key size. The Key comes with user passwords, usually, but often users choose too short pass or very simple. To avoid this weakness, the tool suggests users to choose any "permanent" file to be an additional key for encryption. Secure Notepad internal salt, user's passphrase (password) and selected "key" file to produce big cypher's key (256 bits). This is reliable way to protect your sensitive data. User is able to use different sets of protection elements, right up to disable entering passphrase or selecting a key file. But this is not all. Secure Notepad also helps you to hide your text from eyes behind you: - visible text becomes bright if the program's window is inactive; - then, the program's window becomes minimized. All these arrangements really help you if you forget that you have opened/edited the text and somebody stay behind your back.
