This is very useful in situations in kiosk setups, digital signage systems, trade shows, libraries, schools, Internet cafes, gaming centers, media centers and other applications. These are situations that require that the Windows Desktop functionality and unwanted keystrokes are locked out. That will make sure your main application to run exclusively without any external interference can happen. It removes desktop functionality, by removing the desktop icons from the machine. The application runs as a background application and is hidden. Many windows features are disabled. These include task manager access, right click options on the desktop, Windows task bar and start button. That would shut-off system shutdown or logoff. CTRL-ALT-Delete functions will be removed. Windows Help and Support accesses are also disabled. The administrator is able to remove the lockdown controls or modify them as needed quite easily. Many of the standard keyboard shortcuts can be turned off easily. These include Alt-tab/F4/ESC/ Shift-Esc/ as also CTRL-Esc/Shift-Esc, Windows keys as also F1 and F3. Unattended installation, enable/disable settings or operating through the command-line are useful features available. User accounts can be enabled or prevented from using the embedded locked out conditions. The product could be activated off-line. This feature does not require Internet access.
