ScanText Description

Scan2Text is an easy to use, quality tool for publishing and for easy access to printed text using almost any standard scanner. You can convert text on paper from your scanner, or convert PDF files and other text contained in image files such as .tif format. With Scan2Text you scan documents, letters and papers, and the text is dropped straight into Microsoft Word. Scan2Text is operated from within Microsoft Word, by adding just 4 extra menu items to the Word File Menu. The text can then be edited, or readback by a screenreader or WordRead. You can choose to retain the original format of the document and retain or remove images. Version 2 Now includes 'Claro Scan2Text from Paper Preview' which allows you to preview the scanned image and select the areas of the PaGE that you wish to be converted into Word. You can also open previously scanned image files, as well as open PDFs!
