Scale2xGUI Description

Scale2x is an algorithm orignally designed to scale low resolution video games into higher resolutions for purposes of playing them on newer systems. The program scalex.exe is an open source implementation of this algorithm which runs on a command line interface and is capable of scaling PNG images by 2x, 3x, and 4x without any blurring of the image. Scale2xGUI is an easy to use graphical user interface built around the scalex.exe command line image scaling program. Scale2xGUI extends the features of scalex.exe by adding the ability to scale any number of images in one GUI action which with scalex.exe would have required any untold number of command line interactions, aslo, Scale2xGUI adds the ability to convert JPG to PNG or vice versa via the addition of a conversion program created exclusively for the GUI interface.
