Samplisizer is a comprehensive and efficient piece of software developed as an audio synthesizer that enables you to create new music from a wide range of sound samples provided by its extensive library, which even includes instruments, such as drums or bass. The program features a rather complicated-looking interface which might prove difficult to understand for some, but it also offers details about certain components, in the status bar, when hovering your mouse cursor over one object or another. Aside from its own wide array of sounds, the utility supports working with your own samples, allowing you to add them to the application’s ‘External Bank’ in WAV, MP3 or NCP format, whichever best suits your needs. The available samples can be added to your song just by drag and dropping the preferred bit of music onto the working window. You can position it anywhere you like, then shift, adjust, reverse and play it. Similarly, you can insert or remove measures or edit the fades and the panoramas. Samplisizer offers up to twelve distinct channels, letting you turn the ones you need on and off, at will, as well as adjust their individual volume accordingly. At the same time, the program features a general volume adjusting knob. Moreover, the utility is able to record sounds, on condition that a compatible capture device is connected to the computer. While saving can only be done to NCP format, you can export the audio files to WAV, being able to automatically fade it in and out or normalize the peak level.
