SAMContacts Description

SAM Contacts was developed to be a simple and easy to use contact manager application with some unique features like tag clouds and maps. Main features: Orderly Organized Typing Filter: Search as you type Instant filtering of contacts by : First Name Last Name Company Clear Typing Filter by clicking on “X” Tag Cloud: Organize contacts by Tags Add arbitrary number of Tags to each contact Filter contacts by clicking on a Tag inside a Tag Cloud Invoke Tags menu by clicking on a Tag below the contact Search Bar Full text search by: First Name Last name Middle name Nick name Company Full Telephone Number Invoke Search Bar from : The Ribbon Bar Application icon on the right bottom of the screen Phone Numbers: Add as many phone numbers per contact as you need Separate business from private data Organize them by type of phone they relate to Net Links: As many as you need Categorize them by link types Pressing “…” button invokes a link related action (sending Email, visiting Web Page…) Addresses: Arbitrary number Lookup the location on the map Open map in a browser for a larger view Under Your Fingers : Add rich text notes Insert images Immediately edit notes Format text Edit In Details: Detailed editing in Notes Editor Add bullets and numbering Insert pictures Import From Outlook : Import existing contacts from Outlook Takes into account identical entries Skips identical data Populates all related data entries Save yourself the trouble of typing the data manually Export To Outlook : Synchronize your changes with Outlook Export skips identical entries and does not add duplicates Your Contacts Are Safe: Backing up protects you from data loss Application saves three latest backups in a backup directory, and deletes older ones Should any data loss or corruption occur (due to power outage and similar), application will try to repair the database. If that fails application will restore the database to the latest backup (if available) It’s Up To You: You choose when to backup your data It’s best to do It before any large bulk operations After you have been using the application for a while, It’s a good practice to compact your data Compacting a database deletes any empty space that is not used Only When You Need Me: When you’re doing something else you may hide the contacts form and the search bar. SAM Contacts is patiently waiting in the Tray Just click with your right mouse button You may add a new contact any time Restore contacts window Call a Search Bar to help you find a contact Then show the contact in the contacts window, if you want to
