Report Generator Description

Report Generator helps you generate reports based on data received from a client application, server, database and report template. Report Generator consists of two programs: siedit.exe, siview.exe. Program siedit is designed to define a report, its appearance and behavior. siview is for executing report, displaying it, for printing and recording received data. Application of the Report Generator is enormous due to its flexibility. Imagine a ready to use application activated in a big company. If we want to add new reports and the application does not have such an option we can use the Report Generator. Added reports are independent processes, which guarantees that client's application will continue to work on the same failure-free level without any stoppages. To get data, report generator can execute any script in any language.
