QMSys GUM Standard Description

The QMSys GUM Standard application was developed to be a comprehensive software tool for the evaluation of the measurement uncertainty. Whether you’re a scientist, metrologist, design engineer, production engineer, test engineer or anyone else concerned with measurement accuracy, you need to know only information that falls within your technical specialty. QMSys GUM Standard furnishes the statistical analysis, while you furnish the technical knowledge. The QMSys GUM Standard software is compliant with the demands of the standards: - ISO/IEC/EN 17025:2005 - General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories. - ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006 - Requirements for the Calibration of Measuring and Test Equipment. This is because the analysis and computations follow the rules of the official regulations and guidelines: - ISO/IEC Guide 98-3:2008 (GUM:1995) Guide to the expression of uncertainty in measurement. - ANSI/NCSL Z540.2 - U.S. Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement - EA-4/02 Expression of the Uncertainty of Measurement in Calibration - UKAS M3003 - The Expression of Uncertainty and Confidence in Measurement - VDA Band 5 – Measuring Process Suitability - EURACHEM/CITAC Guide, Quantifying Uncertainty in Analytical Measurement Main features: Unlimited number of input and output quantities Suitability for linear and quasi-linear models of the measurement process Support of symmetrical distributions of the output quantities Support of Greek letters, superscripts and subscripts in mathematical model, quantity names, descriptive texts and metrological units Additional units for the uncertainty of input and output quantities Calculations of the combined standard uncertainty, the expanded uncertainty and the coverage interval Support of the following probability distributions: Normal, Lognormal, Student’s t, Rectangular, Triangular, Trapezoidal, curvilinear Trapezoidal, U-shaped, Quadratic, Exponential, Cosine, 1/2 Cosine Direct and indirect methods of observation, user can create his own measurement methods Support for import of observations; histogram plot and statistical evaluation of sampled data Calculation of correlation between observations of different quantities; analysis of the correlation matrix (Eigen value decomposition) and test if the matrix is positive semi-definite; optimization of not positive semi-definite matrix. Calculation of the coverage factor for Normal, Student’s t, Rectangular, Triangular, Trapezoidal distributions Histogram plot and statistical evaluation Cause and effect diagram which shows a uncertainty influences and their relationships The ability for customers to provide themselves or to adapt the templates for reports and other documents by means of a standard text processing software Export to other programs (MS Word, Excel , …) Compatibility with Windows® 2000/XP/VISTA/WIN 7 Other features of professional software: multi-language flexible and user-friendly interface, help system, a lot of examples, metrology support regarding the measurement model, technical support, etc.
