Pixel Pick Description

Pixel Pick is a light and easy-to-use tool which enables you to copy the color of any object found on your screen. The advantages of being portableInstallation is not necessary in case of this program, so that means it's portable. You can place Pixel Pick on a USB flash drive and run it on any computer. More importantly, your registry will not be affected. Minimalistic GUIThe interface of Pixel Pick consists of a small window in which you can view the RGB, HEX, CMYK, HSB, HEX or pixel information of the current color that your cursor is placed on. Store up to 20 picks and export data In order to store a save, simply hover your mouse cursor over it and press any key. It will be stored in a list of "Recent Picks" that you can access with the click of a button. This list can store up to 20 picks of your latest selected colors. Plus, you can copy their values or save the recent picks as a PCS color scheme, text document or HTML file.Built-in magnifierIn addition, you can view a magnifier and zoom up to 30x, as well as create a shortcut on the Desktop or in the Start menu directly from Pixel Pick's interface. Performance and several flawsThe small application runs on low system resources and didn't pop up any errors during our tests. However, it seems to have some compatibility issues with Windows 7. After you start storing colors, other applications and the exit button became unresponsive to commands, in our case. It would had been easier if Pixel Pick had integrated a toggle key for activation. Also, the text and buttons could had been bigger in the interface. ConclusionAll in all, Pixel Pick is not necessarily impressive but it gets the job done. We suggest you test it for yourself. Maybe it's more compliant with your operating system. Reviewed by Elena Opris, last updated on August 14th, 2014
