Pinger2009 is a lightweight and portable piece of software that enables you to send the Ping command to multiple IP addresses at the same time. It features support for logging along with other useful settings that can be easily configured.Portability benefitsAs there is no installation required, you can drop the executable file in any part of the hard disk and just click it to run, as well as save a copy of Pinger2009 to a USB flash disk or other mass storage device, to be able to run it on any machine effortlessly and without any other installers. In addition, Pinger2009 does not alter Windows registry settings or create extra files on the disk without permission, thus leaving no traces behind after removal. Simple interface and optionsThe GUI is represented by a regular window with a classical structure, where you can type or paste IP addresses, as well as import them from files, and save them for later use. Configure settings easilyAs far as program settings are concerned, it is possible to enable logging, as well as to specify the TTL, packet size, loop period and time out. These settings can be restored to default at any time. There are no other notable options available here. Evaluation and conclusionThere were no type of issues in our tests, since Pinger2009 did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It has a good response time and verifies IP addresses quickly, without triggering the OS to hang, crash or pop up error messages.
