Pc Calculator Description

Pc Calculator is a small software application that works as a scientific calculator, offering support for constants and trigonometric, logarithmic and user-defined functions. The advantages of being portableThe portable running mode brings some benefits to your system. You can run the utility without having to go through an installation process. Plus, it doesn’t write any entries in your Windows registry and leave behind configuration files. You can store the program on any USB flash drive or other removable devices and take it with you whenever you need to perform fast calculations. MS-DOS layoutThe program uses an MS-DOS-like interface where you can input your formulas and check out the corresponding results in a dedicated panel. For those already familiar with writing parameters in the command-line console, the layout comes as no surprise. However, rookies may need extra time to get used to working with a text-based calculator. You can use the arrow keys for moving the mouse cursor, write down your calculation and press ‘Enter’ in order to check out the result. Some of the supported mathematical functions are displayed at the bottom of the panel, and you may also have a look at the help manual for detailed information about the supported operations. Built-in formula editorPc Calculator gives you the freedom to scroll back or forth and enter formulas anywhere in the editor panel, as well as insert additional comments. Good news is that the application is able to remember previously written calculations and results, so you can easily go back and make corrections and fast recalculations. The built-in formula editor works just like any text-based app where you can insert commands (up to 200 lines) with each line supporting 2000 characters. There are several editing commands that you can make use of, namely you can delete characters, scroll the text one page back or forward, copy data to the clipboard, split a long line, go to the end or beginning of the text, find a string on text or numbers, and insert a new line above the cursor. Supported calculationsThe tool gives you the possibility to use trigonometric arc functions, absolute values, sinus, cosine and tangent functions, integers, logarithms, square and cube roots, random numbers, as well as mean values. Additionally, you can convert hexadecimal, octal and binary to decimal and reset all registers. Configuration settingsPc Calculator allows you the tweak the cursor size (small, medium or large), specify the buffer size and number of buffers for the command history, change the font, adjust the window size and position, as well as select the color for the screen text, screen background, popup text and popup background.
