PPT Countdown Timer Description

PPT Countdown Timer was designed to assist you with your PowerPoint presentation timings, allowing you to prevent yourself from exceeding a certain preset interval. Although PowerPoint does offer an option to record the amount of time your presentation takes through the ‘Rehearse Timings’ feature, it does not sport a countdown timer that warns you when your time is up. When the situation requires, you can use a normal countdown timer or opt for one of the numerous PowerPoint add-ins that are capable to carry out this job. PPT Countdown Timer fits the first category more, being bent on providing the means to time yourself during the presentation without the need to install anything, since it comes inside a portable package. PPT Countdown Timer isn’t much different from any other countdown timer, except the fact that it runs inside the system tray and delivers some visual incentives to mark the end or the exceeding of the allocated interval. The approach that PPT Countdown Timer is special, in the way that no interface is provided for the control of the intervals; instead, everything is made available inside a little panel in the system tray (as mentioned), from where you can select a preset interval or set a custom one. Once you’ve done this, you can launch the presentation and follow the timer via the small box that’s displayed over the presentation (it’s being kept on top by default and you can move it anywhere on the screen). When the remaining time is under a minute, the timer turns green and when it times out, it turns red to warn you that you’ve exceeded the preset interval. PPT Countdown Timer does its job impeccably and stands out through the ‘on-top’ panel that shows you the remaining time, being fit for rehearsing presentations, as well as for teachers who want to impose a limit on a student’s slideshow.
