PDF Converter is a free and open-source software application whose sole purpose is to create JPG images from PDF documents. It comes packed with just a few settings that can be figured out even by users with little or no experience in conversion software. Installing the app takes little time and does not require special attention from the user. Once it is done, you can run the app to view a comfortable interface that consists of a standard window with a plain and uncomplicated layout. All you have to do is point out the PDF file you want to convert, establish the saving directory, and proceed with the conversion procedure by clicking a button. It is also possible to adjust JPG options when it comes to the DPI and compression level. There are no other notable features provided by this utility. For example, batch processing is not supported, so you can convert only one PDF file at time. On top of that, you cannot preview source files. The application runs on a very low amount of CPU and RAM, so it does not affect the overall performance of the computer or disrupt normal program activity. It has a good response time and works well, without causing the operating system to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. However, the quality of the output pictures is pretty poor. Although PDF Converter can be easily handled by anyone, users should probably look for a more resourceful program, one that delivers better results.
