Ohm's Law Calculator Description

Developed for the Yahoo! Widget Engine, Ohm's Law Calculator is a tiny application that lets you perform simple calculations by applying Ohm's Law, as the name says. It can be effortlessly installed and set up. The interface of the program is represented by a very small frame that you can move to any position on the screen, with the help of the mouse cursor. Once you enter numerical values for the voltage and current and press the Enter key, Ohm's Law Calculator instantly calculates and displays the resistance and power. A few customization options are available through the Widget Preferences area in the context menu. For example, you can select other two input variable types (e.g. voltage and resistance, current and power, resistance and power), pick the background color and change the font. Thanks to the default settings provided by the Yahoo! Widget Engine, you can set the frame to stay on top or below all the other windows, to ignore mouse events and to prevent dragging. Plus, you can adjust the opacity between 20% and 100%. Ohm's Law Calculator barely uses CPU and system memory, so it doesn't hog the computer's resources. It has a good response time, instantly shows results to calculations, and is stable. No error dialogs have been shown throughout our evaluation and the app did not hang or crash.
