News File Grabber is designed to help you download articles from USENET newsgroups, together with attachments, such as movies, pictures and audio files. You can also use this newsreader to organize your newsgroups and process NZB files. When running the application for the first time, you are prompted to configure the USENET servers that you want to access. To do that, you need to provide the server name, host, port and your credentials. After the connection is established, you can organize your categories and favorite newsgroups. The software provides SSL support and is able to set multiple connections simultaneously, allowing you to access articles across binary newsgroups and servers. You have full control over the running servers, which can be suspended and resumed with a single click. The same happens with the download process, as you can pause and resume it anytime you want. The job queue is remembered, so you can restart any download process later on. In addition to this, the application is capable of downloading a multiple-part article from across more than one newsgroup or server. Not only that you can use it to download articles, but you can even create and post your own articles, attachments included. Furthermore, it can unpack RAR archives, without the need of a third party archiver. Providing support for the common coding schemes, such as MIME, UU, base64 and YENC, this program can also be used for NZB file processing. Just double click on a NZB file and have it opened with News File Grabber. One other feature that comes in handy is the built-in web browser, which you can use to handle USENET and NZB search engines.
