NetConnect Description

NetConnect is a simple-to-use software utility that allows you to assign custom drive letters to network drives, whether we're talking about local, removable or network drives, or mounted virtual images.Hassle-free setup and simple GUIInstalling NetConnect shouldn't be an issue because the wizard contains basic options. As far as the interface is concerned, the tool adopts a classical window with a plain and simple structure that's quite easy to navigate. View and edit records, assigned drive lettersYou can view a records list with the name of each drive, along with connected drives. It is possible to edit a record when it comes to the name, net resource, user name, password, and drive letter. What's more, NetConnect can be asked to automatically map and connect to the drive on system startup, as well as to prompt you for the password. Evaluation and conclusionThere were no stability issues in our tests, since the app did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It has a good response time to commands and leaves a small footprint on system resources, thanks to the fact that it runs on a low amount of CPU and RAM. On the other hand, NetConnect has not been updated for a long time and it likely has compatibility issues on later operating systems.
