MySpeed Server Professional Description

MySpeed Server Professional includes socket-to-socket testing for the most accurate results and server-side reports that provide visibility to the quality of service your end-users experience. MySpeed Server Professional logs speed test results into a server-side repository with browser-based reports, enables Session ID tracking for easy identification of individual test results, and provides options to automate customer service processes when a speed test completes. Requirements: Minimum: ■ 2 GHz CPU ■ 20 Gb free disk ■ 1 Gb memory Recommended: ■ 3 GHz CPU ■ 80 Gb free disk ■ 2 Gb memory Main features: NEW! Graph Tab: The graph tab in the MySpeed tabs shows how the connection speed varied during the download test, the higher the download speed, the better, but a good connection will also demonstrate very little fluctuation in download speeds. The graph also displays the TCP gaps, which is the time delay between data packets. A good connection will have a low TCP gap and demonstrate very little fluctuation in the TCP gap values. Socket-to-socket testing option provides increased accuracy for high-speed networks Socket-to-socket testing provides the most accurate speed tests available particularly on high speed networks of 100Mbit or more. The difference in accuracy levels is due to a difference in the levels of the OSI model where they operate. A direct socket-to-socket connection uses TCP which works at the lower transport layer. A HTTP connection uses a browser which works at the application layer and is subject to factors such as browser caches and proxies that can affect results. Improved! Server-side speed test reporting: Easily view speed test diagnostics for your customers, results are logged in a repository for web-based access, useful for help desk environments and troubleshooting network issues. Reporting options include filter and search options, line graph views and data export. New report detail option displays a download speed graph, TCP Gap graph, and VoIP Quality graph. View live reports. Session ID reporting facilitates customer support: Optional Session ID enables easy identification and tracking of end-user speed test results, includes capability to pass an authenticated string to the MySpeed web page for the Session ID. Advanced Statistics Tab: The Advanced Statistics report tab in the MySpeed Server applet provides a summary results for each speed test, along with more detailed statistics including the download and upload test types (HTTP or socket), the average download pause, minimum and average round trip time. Built-in Web Server: MySpeed Server includes a self-contained web server for easy install & go implementation. You can also use a third party web server such as Apache and IIS for the front-end web server. Includes Windows service support. NEW! Browser-based Setup & Configuration: MySpeed Server offers many features and options that allow you to customize the display and behavior of the applet, these can be easily configured in the Applet Configuration option under Administration. Similarly, the new Server Configuration option makes viewing or changing server options a quick and easy process. Reports usage statistics for improved resource management: View logs of resource usage including download and upload activity, thread activity and bandwidth utilization. Includes data export options. Add your company brand: Add your company logo or other image to the MySpeed speed test chart to add your own branding. Automated start option: Seemlessly initiates a connection speed test when a visitor goes to your MySpeed page. Standard features included in Professional Editions: HTTP Upload and download speed test measurements: MySpeed measures both download and upload bandwidth speeds by performing actual data transfers between your server and end-users Can be combined with scripting for customized: implementations MySpeed has the ability to call a JavaScript function when a speed test completes, enabling you to do most anything with the test results via JavaScript scripting, such as the options below. Dynamically changing the HTML in the MySpeed web page based upon speed test results Provide connectivity analysis in a popup window Redirecting to another URL based upon the results. Improved! Easy implementation: Just add the MySpeed files to your existing web server such as Apache or IIS! Or, use MySpeed's built-in web server with install & go functionality. Easy web page customization: The MySpeed applet may be easily incorporated into your web pages, or modify the default MySpeed speed test web page to the look and feel of your website.
