More specifically, we have recently launched our "Music Vflash" application that provides music fans with alerts on their favorite artists including concert appearances, new CD releases, online chats, etc. Content providers include House Blues, Sonicnet, World Entertainment Network, Pollstar, Throttlebox, Eritmo, Wired Planet and Jazzreview. The Music Vflash application resides as an icon on the user's desktop tray. Whenever there is new information that matches the user's profile, the icon blinks prompting the user to click the icon, thus opening a "gateway" window that includes the news headline or ecommerce offering with a link to the content providers Web site.
