MoreMotion Application Studio Description

MoreMotion Application Studio is a complex and powerful software which allows users to develop professional websites. Application Studio supplies the developers with all the advantages of XML. Try and see for yourself, how professional applications can be developed easily and effectively in a short period of time. MoreMotion Application Studio library contains a rich set of components to build function rich web applictaions without coding. Some of the provided components are Ajax, RelDB, Security, Filer, Reporter, Scheduler, XMLServices, Date and Number, Tabs, Buttons, etc. NOTE: Free for non-commercial use. Main features: DOCTYPE SUPPORT: MoreMotion Application Studio can generate W3C compliant HTML codes depending on the document type selected among the followings: HTML 4.0 Transitional HTML 4.0 Strict XHTML 1.0 Transitional XHTML 1.0 Strict XHTML 1.1 Strict TRUE WYSIWYG DESIGN: Web pages can be designed without a need to hand code HTML, and they are displayed in a browser exactly as they appear in the design area. MoreMotion Application Studio does not have limits like other WYSIWYG editors. It can translate your visual design to cross-browser compliant HTML code much more successfully than any other editor. It allows you to use CSS styles and also enter native HTML code PROJECT EXPLORER: The Project Explorer of MoreMotion Application Studio shows every single item that is involved in a project and gives the user greater control on them with the commands provided in the context menu. When a page is open it also shows all the elements used in the page to locate and manage the elements of the complex pages. LIBRARY EXPLORER: The library elements and the MoreMotion Components contained within the library can be inserted into pages simply using mouse actions. PROPERTY EDITOR: The properties of pages, elements , themes and project components can be viewed and edited from the Property Editor, which is one of the main control units of the MoreMotion Application Studio. When multiple elements on a page are selected, only the common properties are displayed. The values given to the common properties are applied to all the elements that are in the selection. The Property Editor can be set to float on the design area without hindering the designer. ALIGN AND SIZE TOOLBAR: With the rich set of commands available in the align & size toolbar of the MoreMotion Application Studio, elements can be aligned and sized in relation to other elements on the page. DOCKS AND ANCHORS USAGE: Docking elements to the edge of their container provides greater flexibility during design. Docked elements are automatically resized as the size of their parents change. By setting the sub-properties of the Anchor property of an element, you can guide the designer to position and size the element depending on its parent. SEARCH AND REPLACE: The elements of the open pages can be searched for the given text and optionally the text found in value properties can be replaced with the defined replace strings. CUSTOMIZABLE MENUS AND SHORTCUTS: All menus and keyboard shortcuts can be customized according to the user's preferences. Menu commands can be dragged onto the toolbars and existing shortcuts can be redefined. CONTEXT SENSITIVE HELP: When a property is selected on the Property Editor, pressing F1 brings the help of the selected property. The context sensitive help also functions when an element is selected on the page design area and F1 key is pressed. WEB SAFE COLOR PALETTE: The integrated color palette can be used for applying web safe colors to items. One can also select a color from the work area with the eyedropper tool embedded in the palette. IMAGE MAP EDITOR: With the integrated image map editor, hotspots can be defined for all types of graphics. The rectangle, circle and polygon tools of the editor can be used for defining the clickable areas of an image. GRAPHIC TEXT: Graphic Text is a special element that merges a text with an image and thus eliminates the need to create different image files using image editors whenever a new text is required. During the build process, the MoreMotion Application Studio generates a gif file by rendering the given text over the image. The generated gif file is automatically given a unique name. INTEGRATED JAVA SCRIPT EDITOR: The codes of embedded java script elements and event procedures of all the elements can be viewed and edited with the integrated Java Script editor. It provides Find, Replace tools and Java Script language syntax highlighting feature. DHTML EVENTS: Using the Property Editor, dynamic HTML events can be defined for elements. All dynamic events that can be applied to an element are listed under the Events tab of the Property Editor. In addition to normal DHTML events, the MoreMotion Application Studio also supplies extra simulated events (e.g. OnCreate) to improve the development capabilities. EXTENDIBILITY AND REUSABILITY: Page templates and elements for frequently used structures can be created and inserted into the library. A Library element can be used on pages as much as it is needed. Changes made on its instance on the page do not effect the library element. When the library element is updated, the changes are inherited by all instances on pages, whereby changes made by the user on instances remain unchanged. SMART BUILD AND BROKEN LINKS CHECK: When build command is given by the user, the MoreMotion Application Studio checks all the dependencies of the pages and build only the pages that are affected from the changes made to the project. During the build process, it reports all type of broken links to the unavailable project pages or removed components. SMART PUBLISHING WITH THE INTEGRATED FTP CLIENT: The items of a project that are required in the publishing environment (Pages, images, videos, executables and configuration files) can be published to the desired remote host via the integrated FTP client. The MoreMotion Application Studio locates and lists all the changed files that need to be published and lets the user to manipulate the list before starting to publish. BINDING PROPERTIES TO XML NODES: Any property of any element can be bind to an XML node using $vof() function. ASSIGNING VALUES CONDITONALLY: Values can be assigned conditionally to the properties of element using $vof() function. REPEATING PANELS: You can group elements with panels and repeat them horizontally or vertically along with sorted XML nodes. The repeating panels can contain nested panels and you can define and pass XSL parameters to them. GENERATING ELEMENTS CONDITIONALLY: By defining XSL expressions in "Display If" property of the elements you can conditionally display or hide the elements on a page. CONDITIONAL PANELS: By using conditional panels you can define unlimited number of conditions for the same area on a page. You can easily manage the conditions with add, copy, delete of change order commands on the conditional panel dialog. Additionally you can trace and manage the conditions easily using the project explorer. XSL PROPERTY OF ELEMENTS: Each element has an XSL Property that enables you to use native XSL code for your complex needs. XSL TEMPLATES: You can easily link an external XSL template file or use embedded XSL templates that can be edited with an integrated XML editor. DATA SOURCES: The data required by the pages can be obtained easily by confguring the Data source elements in the pages. ALTERNATE PAGE SUPPORT: mmDesigner provides a very unique support for creating alternate version of pages. An alternate page can be alternative language version of a page or alternative representation of the same content. Alternate pages are based on the master page. The changes made to the master page are reflected to its alternate pages. PROCESS MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK: MoreMotion Advanced Suite has introduced a new concept starting with release v2 which is called as "Process Management". MoreMotion Process Management targets to simplify tasks to build sophisticated applications where one or more actions need to be executed one after another that is triggered by one user click. MULTIPLE SITES AND MULTIPLE DEPLOYMENT CONFIGURATIONS: Multiple web sites can be administered in a MMAS Project and they are built and deployed according to the selected deployment configuration. It is also possible to define multiple deployment configurations in a project. This way you can generate two different web applications from the same project by using different configuration settings. CONDITIONAL BUILD: Instead of creating different versions of pages for different environments, generic pages can be designed and built conditionally. By testing the build parameters defined in the deployment configuration, pages can be conditionally included into / excluded from build process. Similarly the content of the pages can be built conditionally by testing the build parameters. INTEGRATED WEB SERVER: Apache Tomcat servlet runner is included in the MMAS package and pre-configured for testing the projects built by Application Studio. A MMAS developer does not have to install of configure web servers or application servers for testing the web application developed. Tomcat is easily managed with the commands supplied in the GUI of Application Studio. PACKAGE PUBLISH: Using the Package Publish feature of Advanced Desiger you can easily create a package that contains Java VM, Apache Tomcat and the Web Application.
