Mayk Description
Mayk creates shortcuts for files, folders and even Internet links in a swift and unobtrusive way. It can help you unclutter your Desktop and remove the need for more place on your screen. Small in both screen and memory size, it will stay at the edge of the screen, on top of all windows when you don't need it. And when you do, just hover the thin line that represents it and it will show on the center of the screen, ready for work. Mayk creates visual shortcuts (button style, with file icon and label on them), total of 54, and also practically unlimited number of textual shortcuts. Visual shortcuts are dispensed in 6 tabs. Clicking on the tab will produce up to 9 visual shortcuts. To open a file, you need to click on the button. Textual shortcuts are placed in command box, a drop-down list from which you can choose to open a file in two ways: by clicking on a shortcut name or by typing it in the text field. Even when you have large number of text shortcuts, it is easy to find the one you're looking for because the command box has autocomplete option. This means that typing no more than three or four letters of the shortcut will produce right one. Pressing Enter will launch the file. Creation of shortcuts is as easy as it can be. Mayk supports drag and drop function from Desktop, file managers, Quick Launch bar and Internet pages. Just grab the file (folder, URL) and drop it on Mayk's button to create visual shortcut, or on the command box to create text shortcut. Mayk is very adjustable. You can choose the side of the screen that it will stay when inactive, tab presentation, whether to open a file with single or double click on the button etc. Group shortcuts are another great advantage. You can make one shortcut for more than just one file. That means that you will open all of the files assigned to one shortcut with just one click of the button. Textual shortcuts will behave in the same manner. Requirements: ■ Visual Basic run-time libraries
