As the title of this software implies, MadZ DVD to iPod Touch/iPhone Video Converter allows you to encode video files from the DVD format to MP4, supported by iPods and iPhones. The interface of the application is clean and intuitive. You can use only the treeview to access videos, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported (and neither is batch processing). After the input is scanned, you can select one or more chapters for processing (but only if they are in a consecutive order), select the audio language, specify the output directory and filename, and finally proceed with the conversion task. In addition, you can configure audio and video settings when it comes to the quality, bit rate, sample frequency rate, resolution, cropping mode and deinterlacing, as well as preview the clips in a small, built-in media player that resembles an iPhone. The DVD conversion application takes up a moderate-to-high amount of system resources, includes a comprehensive help file for all user levels (too bad it doesn't have snapshots), quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a very good image and sound quality. We haven't come across any issues during our tests and strongly recommend MadZ DVD to iPod Touch/iPhone Video Converter to all users, regardless of their experience level.
