MaXimus DVD 1.2 is a free DVD player for Windows. The program will play any DVD just like a home DVD player, but it provides added features. It has separate play rates for forward and reverse, with speeds from 0.5x to 30x in 0.5 intervals of. Allows you to set bookmark on the video, that you can later recall. You can jump to an exact time in the movie by entering a specific time. Maximus DVD 1.2 automatically detects 16:9 widescreen and 4:3 full screen video. Its video viewing area is fully adjustable. You can select different skins for the player. You can build your own DVD catalog, by entering title, year, starring and a brief description of the movie. Maximus DVD will remember that info the next time the DVD is inserted. The program has a capture feature that allows you to grab images from your DVDs and save them in .JPG format. You can play DVDs from a plain DVD disc or a directory in your hard disk that has a DVD structure (for example, the ripped files from a DVD that you saved on your disk).
