You can also right click and scan directly to a folder, your Windows desktop or even scan and release to SharePoint. Kofax Desktop allows you to save your scanned image as a PDF, compressed PDF or TIFF. The OCR functionality generates a searchable PDF and allows you to drop scanned images into your Microsoft Office application and edit text. Such flexibility in working with your documents allows for a balance between image quality and file size.
