Born on April 28, 1981, in Pomona, California Jessica Marie Alba began her career at age twelve in the film Camp Nowhere. Alba's next big role was as Maya in the TV series Flipper.After this, she acted in various small movies and guest spots on TV series before she appeared in the films Never Been Kissed and Idle Hands. Alba was then cast as the lead in the TV series Dark Angel.
