JBrowser Description

JBrowser is a software tool developed in Java which enables you to surf the World Wide Web with just a few clicks. Use it on any machineThis utility is portable, which means that you are not required to go through the installation process. You can easily copy the program files to any location on the hard drive, and double click the EXE in order to launch it. In addition to that, if you place the last mentioned files to a removable storage device (e.g. pen drive), you make it possible to take the app with you and run it on the breeze on any PC. It is also important to keep in mind that the Windows registry is not going to be affected in any way by JBrowser, and no leftovers will be left behind. Clean interface The UI you come face to face with can only be described as being plain and simple, as it only contains back and home buttons, and address bar and a panel where to view the web page accessed. It becomes quite clear that all user categories are able to get around it, without facing any kind of issues. A few drawbacksThis software utility can be integrated into another, yet it can also be used as a standalone with great ease. Moreover, you should know that the only way it is possible to view several pages in the same time, is by opening several instances. Although CPU and memory usage is minimal at all times, it does not run so well. In our tests, on a Windows 8 64 bit operating system, not all sites have loaded properly. Conclusion Taking all of this into consideration, we can safely say JBrowser is a pretty decent piece of software, for people interested in browsing the Internet, in the simplest possible way. Nonetheless, it is in dire need of an update. Reviewed by Madalina Boboc, last updated on March 12th, 2014
