InkSwitch Description

The InkSwitch application was designed to be a small Windows program designed for Internet Explorer 4 or later. It displays an icon in the system tray, indicating IE's current offline or online mode (this is not synonymous with being connected to the Internet). You can change this mode by clicking on the icon -- this will toggle between the offline and online modes. As of InkSwitch version 2, you may enable AutoSwitch! This new feature automatically switches IE into online mode when a connection to the Internet is made, and into offline mode after disconnection - you may never need to manually select offline mode again! Main features: AutoSwitch - optional automatic switching to online and offline modes when an Internet connection is made and terminated. AutoSwitch also allows an active Internet connection to be indicated on the InkSwitch icon in the system tray Aggressive Offline, which can be used as a stopgap solution for the IE 5.0 online mode setting bug. Toggle between offline and online mode by a single click on the icon in the system tray Supports toggling offline and online via a user-definable hotkey Optionally load InkSwitch automatically when Windows starts Allows Windows to be started in the offline, online or the default mode. InkSwitch 2 can set the offline or online mode depending on whether there's an Internet connection present when Windows starts up. Immediately see IE's current working mode before loading Internet Explorer or Outlook Express Very low memory and resource usage Supports IE's rebuilding of the system tray in the event of Explorer crashing (the InkSwitch icon will magically re-appear when all your other system tray icons disappear!)
