HideWindow Description

The HideWindow application was designed to be a small Visual Basic application that demonstrates how to show or hide any program's window. This program was designed originally as a tool that you can use to hide a running instance of WinWedge however it can also be used to show or hide any Windows program. The program accepts command line arguments that can consist of either a COM port number (i.e. "COM1" to "COM8") or the title bar text of a currently running Windows program. If a command line argument is supplied as a COM port number then the program will look for an active instance of WinWedge running on the selected COM port and if it finds it, it will hide the WinWedge window (including the icon in the taskbar). If a command line argument is supplied that contains the title bar text of a running Windows program, then the specified program will be hidden.
