HardLink ShellExtension Description

HardLink ShellExtension is an application that facilitates the creation of hard links and symbolic links just by using the right-click context menu from your operating system. With this tool installed on your computer, you can have a single file appear in multiple folders, while there is only one copy of it on the entire system. The application is easy to install and requires no complex setup procedure. To create a new hard link, all you have to do is right-click a file or folder and choose to pick the link source. Afterwards you simply navigate to the location where you want to place the file and from the context menu, select to drop the selected item. A file can be added as a hardlink or as symbolic one, while a folder can also be dropped as a Junction (soft link), Smart Copy, Smart Mirror, DeLorean copy, Hardlink clone and Symbolic Link Clone. You can do this to both single and multiple files selected a the same time. To further ease the way you can create hardlinks, the application also provides you with drag and drop support. This way, you can move and create links in one simple motion, saving time. HardLink ShellExtension proves an invaluable tool for you if you need to create these links without adding them using the command prompt as it is normally done. To make it easier for you to distinguish the folders that have hardlinks from normal files, the application displays a red icon which can be replaced with a custom one at any time. This also applies to junctions and symbolic links. To revoke the creation of a new hardlink, all you have to do is re-open the Windows context menu and choose to cancel the link creation. HardLink ShellExtension simplifies a rather complex issue and allows you to create hardlinks and symbolic links in a simple and efficient way.
