GSR - File Transfer for Windows Devices Description

GSR is for transferring files between Windows devices - computers, mobile phones. It works in a Similar way to the email system, but unlike the email system, GSR does not need a server in between - the "messages" go directly from the sender to the receiver. One of the typical situations of using GSR is as illustrated on the right. A mobile phone and a computer are connected by USB (ActiveSync) or a wireless Router, and while you are working on the computer, you can send files, clipboard texts and pictures, screenshot pictures to the phone. It is also possible to transfer files over the Internet with GSR. Read more about connections. GSR consists of three stand-alone programs: * GS: File Sender for Windows XP and higher. It can work alone or work as for Explorer. It can send files, Folders, clipboard texts and pictures, screenshot pictures. * GR: File receiver for Windows XP and higher. It manages packages received from GS in a similar way as e-mail applications manage messages. * SmartGSR: GS+GR for Windows Mobile 5.0 (ARMV4I) and higher.
