FusionViewer Description

FusionViewer is an application that was designed to be an open source medical image display package. It is designed to improve the physician's ability to interpret the results of combined positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) studies. As PET/CT combined studies are increasingly being used for the diagnosis, treatment decisions, and follow-up of cancer patients, improving the interpretive value of these studies would directly benefit cancer patients. This display application is meant to validate and improve visualization. It facilitates the quantitative measurements on the fused image series. An effective display of the fused data permits easy viewing of the anatomical information provided by the CT images while simultaneously displaying the functional data provided by PET. Main features: Visualization and quantification of both 2D and 3Dimage data Three orthogonal views: axial, sagittal, and coronal Display modes: alpha blend, checkerboard, split window, and linked cursor Fast switching between different display modes Adjustable opacity of the background and foreground images Size adjustment of checkerboard grid and split window Cross referenced cursor position through all views Cursor crosshair position in either physical coordinates (mm) or pixel coordinates Standard tools for data viewing and measurement Standard color map effects and easy definition of customized color maps Supported data format: MetaIO, DICOM, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, Interfile and more Platforms supported: Windows XP, Mac OS 10..3.9 and later, Mac Intel
