FrontCam Description

Frontcam is a simple yet powerful utility that allows you to record the activity on any part of your screen and save it in a video file. It allows you to capture your entire screen, a specific window, a dynamic region or a fixed region, and it is capable of producing continuous video or just a single picture, or a series of them. When recording video, the program can also capture the sound coming in through your microphone. The program's main window is very small and simple. However, it allows you to configure numerous parameters using the commands in its menu bar. Basically, you just need to select whether you want to record videos or pictures, and what part of your screen you want to record – then, you can start the capture process. Nevertheless, the "Options" menu allows you to configure all the advanced parameters regarding your video and picture recording. For the video, you can set the frame rate for both the capture and the playback, the compression level, the audio sample size and rate, select whether to introduce visual effects for the left and right click events, and define the default output folder, among others. As for the pictures, you can select to capture a single picture only, a single picture with a specific delay or a series of pictures with a specific delay in seconds. You can also customize the output folder and define keyboard shortcuts, which will allow to start, pause, and stop your recordings, and to use the auto-pan function in a simpler way. Now that the program’s configuration is ready, you can start recording any part of your screen by using your hotkeys or the program keys.
