FreshIP Description

FreshIP is a pretty straightforward application whose main purpose is to help you quickly change your computer's IP address. Modifying the IP address might be necessary for various reasons, mainly to reduce the exposure on the Internet and prevent virtual attacks. However, besides security reasons, you might want to modify the IP in order to access webpages that are not available due to location restrictions or make a server believe that your identity is different. FreshIP is a simple tool that comes in handy for situations when changing your IP address is necessary. The application does not come with a standard user interface for configuring its behavior. Once installed, it runs silently in the system tray, enabling you to access all its features and options using the right-click context menu. The program does not provide many options to choose from. In order to get a new IP address, the only thing you have to do is double-click on the system tray icon, which immediately turns gray. When the color is changed to orange again, the process is finished and the IP address is modified. An alternative is to right-click on the tray icon and choose the designated item from the appearing menu. In addition to this, you can set the application to automatically launch at system startup, in order to have it up and going at your disposal anytime you need to have your IP address changed.
