Free Screenshot Capture Description

Free Screenshot Capture can help you take snapshots of whatever is shown on your screen. Although you may argue that you can capture screenshots of the whole screen or a specific window via the PrintScreen key, the main advantage of using a screen capture application like this one is that you can select the exact part of your screen that you need to capture. Besides, this application can take snapshots from your webcam and provides a set of useful tools. The application is simple to use thanks to an initial launchpad that takes you straight to the tool you need to use. The basic tools are Screen Capture and Full Screen Capture. The difference between them is that the first lets you select the screen area you want to take the shot of. This function behaves intelligently to adjust the area to the elements shown on the screen, such as windows, work areas, toolbars, etc. However, you can also customize it at will. As the name of the other tool suggests, it takes snapshots of the whole screen area. Once you have taken your shots, you can modify them by adding text, arrows and annotations before you proceed to save them on disk in one of the several image formats available. At the same time, you may choose to copy them to the clipboard to edit it with another application. In addition to these basic tools just mentioned, there are others that may come in handy. Ellipse Screen Capture can take elliptical screenshots while Screen Capture with Delay allows you to set the number of seconds the program should wait before taking the shot. The Whiteboard tool can help you make annotations and draw different shapes on your entire desktop. Finally, there are other more specific tools, such as an on-screen ruler, a protractor, a color picker and a screen magnifier. You can use all these tools together for the best results. In general, Free Screenshot Capture seems to be one of the most complete screenshot applications I have ever used. It runs from the System Tray from where you can quickly access it through a contextual click or clipboard shortcuts. Pedro Castro Editor rating:
