As the name of this software implies, Free MP3 Ringtone Maker allows you to create ringtones from audio tracks with the MP3 format. The tool can be seamlessly handled by novices. The interface of Free MP3 Ringtone Maker is based on a standard window in which you can import tracks by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is not allowed. So, you can make a selection by dragging a highlighted area in the audio file. Plus, you can adjust the quality and amplification level, as well as enable stereo mode and apply a fade in/out effect. The audio processing program runs on a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. The sound quality is preserved at a good level. On the other hand, there is no help file available and you cannot change the output destination and filename. Plus, you do not have the possibility of configuring program settings (e.g. enable Free MP3 Ringtone Maker to automatically turn off the computer once the task has been completed) and the fact that batch processing is not allowed is a major downside.
