Findext2 Description

The Findext2 application was designed to be a small command line tool that searches for ext2 / ext3 superblocks. If the disk is larger than supported by the BIOS, the supported part is examined. Usage: Findext2 Disks are numbered from 1. By default the first superblock found in each partition is shown. The 'all' option shows all superblocks found. The 'skip0' option skips superblock number 0. This may limit the number of false positive findings. The report can be written to a file. Add the filename to the command line.
