This program is more than its name suggests. Besides helping you batch rename your photos or documents, this application is also capable of altering the names of your directories including their correspondent subfolders within moments. File Renamer Basic comes with easy-to-configure renaming settings, features a comprehensive help manual, and works very fast. All you need to do is to select the folders or files you wish to rename, choose the preferred output settings, and let the app get the job done. If you want to import certain files from a directory, you can use the filtering options on the upper side of the interface. Simply enter the keyword (for example, enter a file extension) and the app will immediately provide you with a list containing the files that match the entered info. Unfortunately, you cannot select multiple files from different directories and rename them at the same time, using a single output profile. Another thing you need to consider is that the Pro or Deluxe editions of this application provide you with more features, such as the ability to undo renaming tasks, an option to drag-and-drop the files and folders you need to rename, etc. In my opinion, the 2 versions that come with price tags are definitely worth buying.
