Epoch Converter is an ultra-simplistic Java-based application designed with a single purpose in mind: to convert milliseconds to calendar dates, and vice versa. It does not contain complex options or configuration settings, so it can be handled by anyone with ease. Quick setup and user-friendly interfaceThe installation procedure takes little time to finish and does not require special attention. Epoch Converter is wrapped in a plain and simple interface, made from a small window with two panels for converting milliseconds to dates and the other way around. Just input the data and click a button to convert itAll you have to do is write or paste the milliseconds, or point out a preferred time and date (or click a button to immediately input the current one), and click a button to perform the conversion. Results are instantly shown in the bottom part of the frame. Although Epoch Converter does not integrate options for exporting data to file, printing it or copying it to the Clipboard, the latter one can be achieved by selecting the text and using the global Copy hotkey. There are no other notable options provided by this software utility. Evaluation and conclusion We have not come across any type of issues throughout our evaluation, since Epoch Converter did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. As expected from such a small tool, it consumes low CPU and memory, so its impact on the computer's performance is barely noticeable. It has a good response time to commands and convert data effortlessly. All in all, Epoch Converter may not be feature-rich but it offers a fast and easy solution to converting milliseconds to calendar dates and vice versa, and it can be used by anyone with ease.
