From Tim Boling : The Ellipse ActiveX Component was created according to the WinCGI Interface 1.3a, and is used to create back-end applications for your web server. Do you know Visual Basic programming but want to learn CGI? If you know one, then you already know the other! Use the Ellipse WinCGI ActiveX to collect form data from a web page, process the results in Visual Basic, (also returns such values as Referring URL, IP address of machine submitting the info, Browser name/version/language, Content Type, Web Server Name/Port, and more!), and generates a "results" page you generate yourself in Visual Basic! Ellipse WinCGI will operate in any environment that supports OLE (Visual Basic, Delphi, C++, etc), on any version of Microsoft Windows, via any web server that supports WinCGI, such as Sambar, OmniHTTPd, WebSite/WebSite Pro, Netscape Enterprise Server, and Microsoft IIS 4.0.
