EasyTrans Description

EasyTrans stands for an 'all-in-one' application to transform coordinates. It's easy to understand and to use, either accepts coordinates entered via keyboard or via files, and that can be used in addition to existing software packages or exclusively as a tool to transform coordinates fast and uncomplicated. With the professional edition you are able to execute Affinity- and Helmert-Transformations as well as to compute their transformation parameters and to use global or regional geoid information to transform ellipsoidal into locally used heights. Main features: Two-dimensional transformations of geographic, Gauss-Krueger and UTM coordinates (conversion onto the same ellipsoid with accuracies of some mm and transitions between different ellipsoids with accuracies of some meters) Three-dimensional transformations of geocentric-cartesian, geographic, Gauss-Krueger and UTM coordinates (conversion onto the same ellipsoid with accuracies of some mm and transitions between different ellipsoids with accuracies of some meters) Definition of ellipsoids that are not present in the program and entering of local datums with respect to WGS84 Automatically recognition of coordinate formats while entering via keyboard (no extra format conversions are longer neccessary!) Format of coordinates entered via files will be automatically recognized, too, and - for the case this fails - the user is able to define its own format Individually change the settings of the output format, the program color etc. Save the actual setting to a profile file that could be re-loaded at any time Short online helps for the whole program Detailed help texts in HTML-format Possibility to compute an Affinity- (9 parameters) or a Helmert-Transformation (4 and 7 parameters) and to enter the required parameters Possibility to easily compute the parameters of an Affinity- or Helmert-Transformation via identical points possibility to use global or regional defined geoids to transform ellipsoidical heights into locally used heights and vice versa; here, the achieved accuracy defends onto the quality of the used geoidal information Possibility to compute and to use a niveau adjustment based on given points Already comes with 15 pre-defined ellipsoids; with some regional variations even 24 Already comes with more than 200 worldwide, locally defined datums
